What I've been doing

It's interesting to put out there but I've been traveling far more than I realized. Over the past weekend I took a trip to New York, literally my 2nd time ever being there and I must say.... it stunk. Not the visit or the adventure with friends but the city itself, New York city smells.... badly.

(Because everyone loves their flowers, veggies, and fruits to also come with beer and cigarettes)
Now if you're reading this and you happen to be from New York then I'm sorry to insult your city, but truthfully speaking those smells are pretty bad. But to focus on the real stuff, I've been performing. I received my fourth paycheck as a performer and to be completely honest, it's just as sweet as receiving my first paycheck as a musical artist. If I could, I would do this full time without a 2nd thought.
Below is a few pictures from my experience in Brooklyn. Hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

(This was the line of our show, first time headlining in Brooklyn!)

Nothing is better than a full venue.

We took band photos, like a bunch of Marks.

On the other side I've been pursuing my journalistic dream from a far now. it's interesting the more I perform, the less I want to do this writing gig full-time. That's mainly due to the constant rejection I receive. It's almost like getting rejected by the same girl repeatedly then discovering you can achieve success with another lady, it makes no sense to continue pursuing the lady rejecting you.
Like I have opportunities to write still, like, I currently have a writing gig for a magazine called MetroMode and that's due on the 15th. No lie, it's been nothing short of a bitch trying to finish, but the opportunity is there and I think that matters most. The opportunity to perform has been prevalent, the opportunity to write has been scarce but I'm taking what I can get, and the opportunity at everything else is seemingly in front of my face, just up to me to take advantage somehow.....unless I get rejected again, then there really isn't much I could do about that.

So in summery, what I've been doing is simple. I've been performing in different states, while getting rejected by the career I want to love. But performing might be what I love most.
